Enhancing the Quality of Counseling Services, FISIP UNRI Holds Evaluation Meeting of P2K Corner and Prepares 2026 Work Program

Pekanbaru — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), held a performance evaluation meeting of the P2K Corner Team for 2025 while also discussing the planning of the 2026 work program on Monday (March 2, 2026), at the DPH Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of the Dean’s Office Building, FISIP Universitas Riau.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of FISIP UNRI, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, and members of the FISIP UNRI P2K Corner Team. It aimed to evaluate performance achievements throughout 2025, identify challenges and obstacles encountered, and formulate strategies and action plans to strengthen the work program in 2026.

In his opening remarks, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the strategic role of the P2K Corner as a psychological assistance and counseling service unit for the academic community, particularly students. He expressed his appreciation for the P2K Corner Team’s performance throughout 2025, which he assessed as having made a positive contribution to fostering a healthy, inclusive, and supportive academic environment.

“The existence of the P2K Corner is part of FISIP UNRI’s commitment to building a campus that is friendly to mental health. This performance evaluation serves as an important momentum to continuously improve service quality, strengthen synergy, and design more impactful programs in 2026,” stated the Dean.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., in her response, conveyed the faculty’s commitment to continuously supporting the implementation of P2K Corner programs, particularly in terms of budget management, facilities, and administrative governance. She emphasized the importance of careful planning to ensure that every program runs effectively, efficiently, and accountably.

“We will strive to provide optimal budgetary and facility support, while consistently upholding the principles of transparency and accountability. Therefore, structured and needs-based program planning is crucial to ensure that the benefits are truly felt by the academic community,” she explained.

During the meeting, the Head of the P2K Corner, Dra. Risdayati, M.Si., discussed several key agendas, including the evaluation of the 2025 P2K Corner performance, the formulation and refinement of the 2026 work program, follow-up on the cooperation contract with the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI), as well as the planning and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as guidelines for implementing P2K Corner services within FISIP UNRI.

Through this activity, it is expected that the performance of the FISIP UNRI P2K Corner Team will become more optimal, professional, and well-directed in providing assistance services and strengthening the mental health of the academic community. Furthermore, the preparation of SOPs is expected to improve service governance quality to become more systematic, standardized, and sustainable.

This meeting served as a strategic momentum in strengthening FISIP UNRI’s commitment to continuously delivering responsive, inclusive, and impactful academic and non-academic services for students and the entire academic community. (Enggy-RD)
