Pekanbaru, May 7, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Riau (UNRI), has begun preparations for the 4th International Symposium on Environmental and Energy Policy (ISEEP) 2026, which will be held in August 2026 in Batam. The initial coordination meeting for the event took place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in the Meeting Room of the FISIP UNRI Dean’s Office Building.
Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., Dean of FISIP UNRI, stated that the event aims to bring together various stakeholders to discuss global energy and environmental policies. “ISEEP 2026 in Batam will serve as a major opportunity to discuss environmental and energy policy challenges by involving experts, policymakers, and academics from around the world.”

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., added, “This event is not only an academic forum, but also a platform for sharing concrete solutions to address increasingly urgent energy and environmental issues.”

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., stated, “Collaboration with the Batam Regional Government and other universities as co-hosts is an important step in ensuring the success of this symposium. We believe this will bring a positive impact on the development of sustainable policies.”

Dr. Mita Rosaliza, M.Soc.Sc., Chairperson of the 4th ISEEP 2026, remarked, “We are very enthusiastic about presenting several international keynote speakers who will discuss strategic issues in energy and environmental policy that are highly relevant to sustainable development at the global level.”

In addition, various preparations related to logistics, publications, and academic details will continue to be discussed in upcoming meetings to ensure that this symposium becomes an important and impactful platform for international knowledge exchange.
FISIP UNRI hopes that the 4th ISEEP 2026 will create an effective platform for sharing collaborative solutions that can be implemented across different countries in order to realize more sustainable environmental and energy policies. (RIRY, Photo: Enggy)
