Welcoming the End of the Semester, Department of Administrative Science Holds Comprehensive Meeting

The Department of Administrative Science of FISIP Universitas Riau held a departmental meeting on Friday, 28 November 2025, from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB in the Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, FISIP UNRI Dean’s Building. The meeting was attended by faculty leadership, professors, the Secretary of the Department of Administrative Science, the Heads of the Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs, as well as all lecturers under the department.

The meeting covered three main agendas: preparation for the Final Semester Examination (UAS), verification of UAS questions, learning quality assurance, academic coordination, and the mapping of lecturer positions.

The Head of the Department of Administrative Science, Dr. Febri Yuliani, S.Sos., M.Si., opened the meeting by stating: “The UAS is an evaluation instrument that determines the quality of the learning process. Therefore, we must ensure comprehensive readiness in both technical and substantive aspects. We encourage all lecturers to complete the exam questions and other instruments on time and to maintain integrity throughout the examination process.”

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., emphasized: “Question verification is a quality assurance mechanism that must not be overlooked. With the right verifiers, we ensure that UAS questions are aligned with learning outcomes (CPL), course learning objectives (CPMK), the course syllabus (RPS), and the expected cognitive level. The faculty encourages this process to be conducted with discipline and proportionality.”

During the general discussion session, several strategic issues were addressed, including the alignment of academic activities, the mapping of lecturer needs, and efforts to enhance teaching capacity.

The Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., provided an explanation regarding the strengthening of faculty administration and the mapping of lecturer positions as part of long-term human resource planning.

“In addition to ensuring that administrative support and academic facilities run optimally, we are also strengthening the lecturer position map at the faculty level. This mapping is important to assess human resource adequacy, workload distribution, and future regeneration needs. Departments are expected to provide accurate data so that HR planning can be carried out in a measurable and sustainable manner.”

The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., stated after the meeting: “The Department of Administrative Science plays a significant role in supporting the faculty’s performance achievements. Activities like this reinforce our commitment to maintaining the quality of educational services, academic governance, and collaboration across study programs.”

The meeting concluded with agreed follow-up actions regarding the finalization of UAS questions, assignment of verifiers, and completion of lecturer position mapping data. (RIRY, Photo: Rahmat)
