A Beacon of Information Transparency: PPID FISIP UNRI Wins Bronze at the 2025 Anugerah Humas Indonesia

Pekanbaru, 26 November 2025 — Universitas Riau, through its Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP UNRI), has once again achieved a proud milestone at the national level. At the 2025 Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI), the PPID of FISIP UNRI earned the Bronze Winner award in the Best PPID Category, Subcategory PPID Implementer. The award was presented by Humas Indonesia, an institution recognized as a barometer of public communication and information transparency performance across various state institutions—including ministries, government agencies, local governments, state universities, SOEs, regional-owned enterprises, and public service agencies.

This achievement was earned through the entry titled “PPID FISIP: A Beacon of Information Transparency”, led by the PPID FISIP UNRI team consisting of Dr. Fajriani Ananda, S.Sos., M.Si.; Indry, S.IP., M.AP; and Denisa Nurmaliza, M.I.Kom. The team successfully showcased best practices and innovative PPID services that ensure fast, accountable, and responsive public information access.

The judging process for AHI 2025 involved public relations experts, public communication specialists, senior journalists, senior academics, and branding professionals. The involvement of these multidisciplinary experts underscores the credibility of the recognition awarded to FISIP UNRI's quality in information governance.

The peak event of AHI 2025 was held on Thursday (25/9/2025) at JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya, attended by representatives from various public institutions across Indonesia.

Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed high appreciation to the PPID team and all faculty members who contributed to the achievement.
“This award further strengthens FISIP UNRI’s commitment to realizing professional, transparent, and service-oriented information governance. This accomplishment is the result of collective work and serves as motivation for us to continue providing high-quality, inclusive, and accessible public information services.”

Dr. Meyzi added that the Bronze Winner title is not only a symbol of achievement but also a reminder that the faculty must continue to strengthen its commitment to information transparency as part of its responsibility as a higher education institution.

Through this achievement, FISIP UNRI reaffirms its position as an adaptive, innovative faculty that consistently advances excellent public information services. This recognition further strengthens the reputation of FISIP UNRI as an institution capable of setting an example in transparency and accountability within Indonesia’s state universities. (RIRY)
