
Pekanbaru, 25 November 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI) conducted the Synchronization of Strategic Plan (Renstra) with planning and budgeting documents, along with the Risk Register Evaluation, at Royal Asnof Hotel Pekanbaru, Tuesday (25/11). This agenda is designed to ensure that the faculty’s strategic direction is aligned with operational needs while strengthening risk management within institutional governance.
The event was attended by faculty leaders, the Head of the General Affairs Division, Heads of Working Groups (Pokja), Department Heads, Coordinators of Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral Study Programs, as well as the Renstra and Risk Management Team of FISIP UNRI. The involvement of multiple stakeholders demonstrates the faculty’s commitment to implementing accountable, transparent, and performance-based governance.
Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., officially opened the event and emphasized the importance of consistency between the Renstra and all planning and budgeting documents. “The Renstra must serve as an active guide and be implemented in every planning document. Through the Risk Register Evaluation, we can identify potential risks early so that program implementation becomes more effective,” Dr. Meyzi stated.


Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., added that the Risk Register is an essential control instrument in conducting academic activities and student services. “The Risk Register ensures that potential obstacles are identified and their mitigation strategies are prepared. This way, every program has a clear direction and adequate supervision,” said Dr. Mayarni.


The event featured the Head of the Provincial Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of Riau Province, Heni Kartikawati, S.Psi., M.A., M.Psi., as the speaker, moderated by Dr. Dian Anggreta, S.Sos., M.Si. Heni explained the importance of continuous integration between the Renstra, planning documents, budgeting, and the application of risk management based on the Risk Register. She emphasized that the Risk Register is a strategic tool to enhance the faculty’s readiness in responding to program dynamics and challenges.




The discussion session was dynamic, with participants sharing various issues and experiences related to planning development and risk mapping. These inputs will be formulated into recommendations to improve the Renstra and other supporting documents within FISIP UNRI.






The event concluded with a reaffirmation of FISIP UNRI’s commitment to strengthening more systematic, quality-oriented governance aligned with higher education standards. The faculty is optimistic that strengthened risk management will improve academic performance and service quality for the entire academic community.


Through this strategic initiative, FISIP UNRI hopes to create an adaptive, responsive, and sustainable academic ecosystem in facing future educational challenges. (Enggy–RIRY)
