Pekanbaru, December 9, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of Riau, participated in the Socialization of the Implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Permendiktisaintek) Number 39 of 2025 on the Strategy for Strengthening the Higher Education Quality Assurance System. The activity was organized by the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) of the University of Riau and held at Pangeran Hotel, Pekanbaru.
The event was attended by the leadership of the University of Riau and all deans across the university. Representing FISIP were the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., all Heads of Departments/Study Program Coordinators, the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit (SPMF), and the Study Program Quality Assurance Groups (GPM), as a joint commitment to strengthening academic quality and university governance.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Riau, Dr. Mexsasai Indra, S.H., M.H. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of quality assurance as the main foundation for improving the quality of higher education and enhancing the competitiveness of graduates at both national and international levels.
The next speech was delivered by the Head of LPMPP of the University of Riau, Dr. Belli Nasution, S.IP., M.A. He stated that Permendiktisaintek Number 39 of 2025 serves as a strategic guideline for all universities in realizing continuous quality improvement. He also stressed the importance of the active role of faculty leaders in overseeing the implementation of the quality assurance system within their respective units.
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP, University of Riau, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the activity. According to him, this socialization is very important as an initial step in aligning perceptions regarding the implementation of new policies in the field of quality assurance. FISIP of the University of Riau, he added, is ready to follow up the results of the socialization through faculty work programs, particularly in improving academic quality and educational services.
The activity continued with the presentation of Material I on the Implementation of Permendiktisaintek Number 39 of 2025 by Prof. Dr. Hendriko, S.T., M.Eng. He comprehensively explained the strategy for strengthening the higher education quality assurance system, covering planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up for continuous quality improvement.
In the next session, Material II was delivered by Dr. Yessi Olivia, S.IP., M.IntRel. This session focused on the technical and practical aspects of quality assurance policy implementation, including accreditation mechanisms, internal evaluation systems, and the roles of quality assurance units at the faculty and study program levels.
All series of activities continued until the afternoon and were officially closed by the organizing committee. Participants followed the event enthusiastically, especially during the discussion session that addressed challenges and opportunities in implementing quality assurance policies within the University of Riau.
Through its participation in this activity, FISIP of the University of Riau is expected to be increasingly ready to implement quality assurance policies in accordance with the latest regulations and to strengthen the synergy of all faculty elements in realizing sustainable improvements in the quality of higher education.
