
Pekanbaru, 26 November 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), welcomed a working visit from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (FISIP UPNVY) on Wednesday (26/11). The meeting, held in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of the FISIP UNRI Dean Building, was attended by Vice Deans, Department Heads, Study Program Coordinators, the Head of General Affairs, and Working Group Chairs within FISIP UNRI. The UPNVY delegation consisted of faculty leaders and department heads who will be directly involved in implementing the collaboration.
This activity marked an important momentum to strengthen academic partnerships and expand opportunities for institutional collaboration. The main agenda included the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS), discussions on aligning the teaching staff exchange program, benchmarking academic administration, and exploring collaborative programs in education, research, community service, and faculty governance development.
Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., extended a warm welcome and high appreciation for the visit of the FISIP UPNVY delegation. Dr. Meyzi emphasized that inter-faculty partnerships are a strategic step in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

“This collaboration not only strengthens the relationship between the two institutions but also opens wider opportunities for joint academic development and governance enhancement. We hope this initiative serves as a foundation for sustainable collaboration that provides real benefits for lecturers, students, and administrative staff.”

Dean of FISIP UPNVY, Dr. Susanta, M.Si., expressed gratitude for the warm reception from FISIP UNRI. He stated that the visit was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and design collaborative programs that can be implemented together.


Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Saiman, S.IP., M.Si., added that benchmarking activities like this are highly relevant to improving the quality of academic services, student affairs, and faculty administration. He hopes the partnership will continue into more targeted technical programs.

One of the key moments of the event was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) as a shared commitment between FISIP UNRI and FISIP UPNVY to develop collaborative inter-faculty programs. During the visit, an Implementation Agreement (IA) was also signed for the Department of Communication Science, International Relations, and the Business Administration Study Program.


Through this working visit, FISIP UNRI reaffirmed its efforts to expand national collaboration networks and open avenues for impactful cooperation in academic and institutional development. The faculty hopes the meeting will lead to sustainable programs, including knowledge exchange, joint research, and capacity building for human resources. (Enggy–RIRY)
