Pekanbaru, November 13, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), has officially concluded the series of activities for the External Audit of ISO 21001:2018 on Thursday (13/11). This milestone marks an important step in the faculty’s continuous effort to strengthen its internationally standardized educational governance system and commitment to ongoing quality improvement.
The external audit was conducted over four days, from Monday to Thursday, November 10–13, 2025, by auditors from Staunchly Management System — Dimas Yuwono Wicaksono, ST., MT., CLA. and Muhamad Dezan Adinta, S.Kom. The audit assessed various aspects of academic service implementation and institutional management within FISIP UNRI.
Auditor Dimas Yuwono Wicaksono expressed his appreciation for the cooperation, transparency, and professionalism demonstrated by all elements of the faculty during the audit process.
“We observed a high level of commitment from all elements at FISIP UNRI. During the interview sessions, the auditees were open and honest, and all supporting documents and data were well-prepared. Furthermore, the implementation of digital applications in academic services reflects a genuine effort toward quality improvement,” he stated.
At the end of the presentation, the auditors delivered an encouraging result. Based on their findings and evaluations throughout the audit process, FISIP UNRI was declared eligible to obtain the ISO 21001:2018 certificate, an international standard for Educational Organizations Management Systems.
“From the consideration of the audit findings, we recommend that the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University, is eligible to obtain the ISO 21001:2018 certificate,” read the official statement from the Staunchly Management System audit team.
The closing ceremony of the ISO 21001:2018 External Audit was attended by the Rector of Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si, represented by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mexsasai Indra, S.H., M.H.
In his remarks before closing the event, Dr. Mexsasai expressed appreciation for FISIP UNRI’s successful completion of the external audit process.
“The implementation of ISO 21001:2018 is not merely about certification; it is about cultivating a culture of quality within the educational environment. This achievement proves that FISIP UNRI is strongly committed to establishing an excellent educational management system focused on student and stakeholder satisfaction,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP UNRI extended his gratitude for the university leadership’s support and the collective hard work of the faculty team.
“This accomplishment is the result of collaboration across all academic communities. We will continue to strengthen the culture of quality within FISIP UNRI to provide education services that are increasingly relevant and beneficial to society. The audit process is part of our continuous improvement efforts. These positive results should motivate us all to further enhance the systems and quality culture we have built,” he stated.
Through the external audit results recommending its eligibility for the ISO 21001:2018 certification, FISIP UNRI reaffirms its position as a faculty dedicated to excellent, professional, and globally competitive educational governance.
