
Pekanbaru — Monday, December 8, 2025. The Public Administration Study Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI) welcomed a benchmarking visit from STIA Lancang Kuning Dumai as part of efforts to improve the quality of study program governance and strengthen inter-institutional collaboration among higher education institutions.
The activity, held in the Dean’s Building Meeting Room, was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers of the Public Administration Study Program at FISIP UNRI, as well as representatives from STIA Lancang Kuning Dumai.
Dean of FISIP: Benchmarking Opens Opportunities for Academic Synergy
In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., welcomed the activity as a means of strengthening academic networking.

“Benchmarking like this opens up positive opportunities for synergy. We can exchange best practices in study program governance, academic services, and quality assurance. FISIP UNRI fully supports this collaboration as part of efforts to improve the quality of public administration education in Riau.”

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs: Strengthening Curriculum and Quality Standards
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., emphasized that benchmarking is an important strategy for improving academic standards.

“The exchange of experiences between higher education institutions provides new perspectives in strengthening curriculum, learning processes, and academic governance. We hope this activity will have a direct impact on improving the academic achievements of the Public Administration Study Program.”
Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs: Faculty Ready to Provide Support
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed the faculty’s commitment to providing full support.

“FISIP is committed to providing the necessary facilities and administrative support. This benchmarking should become a momentum to expand cooperation and ensure that study program development runs optimally.”
Head of Public Administration Study Program: A Momentum for Program Strengthening
The Head of the Public Administration Study Program, Dr. Abdul Sadad, S.Sos., M.Si., explained that the benchmarking activity was not only aimed at exchanging information but also at strengthening development strategies.

“Benchmarking provides us with the opportunity to learn, share strategies, and showcase the good practices already implemented by the Public Administration Study Program. We hope this collaboration will bring tangible benefits to the improvement of public administration education quality.”
The delegation from STIA Lancang Kuning Dumai was led by the Chairperson of STIA, Latip, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., who expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from FISIP UNRI.


“We are here to learn and to share. Inter-institutional synergy like this is essential to strengthen governance, curriculum, and accreditation preparation. We sincerely thank the Public Administration Study Program of FISIP UNRI for the warm reception.”
From STIA Lancang Kuning Pekanbaru, the Head of the State Administration Study Program, Dila Erlianti, S.Sos., M.Si., also stated that this activity was highly relevant in enriching perspectives for document preparation, study program management, and strategies for improving academic quality.
The benchmarking session was also enriched by presentations on the history of the establishment of the FISIP UNRI Graduate Program delivered by Professors of Public Administration, Prof. Dr. Sujianto, M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Zaili Rusli, SD., M.Si.
Prof. Sujianto stated:
“The Graduate Program of FISIP UNRI was built on the spirit of collaboration and a commitment to strengthening academic capacity. This should serve as an inspiration for future study program development.”

Prof. Zaili Rusli added:
“Institutional quality is reflected in the quality of the tridharma and study program governance. Through benchmarking like this, we strengthen our shared academic foundation.”

This benchmarking activity served as a forum for sharing experiences and best practices in study program management, including curriculum, accreditation, student services, and academic governance.
