Pekanbaru, November 10, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), commenced the External Quality Audit for ISO 21001:2018 on Monday (10/11), held in the DPH Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of the FISIP UNRI Dean Building. This activity marks a significant step in the faculty’s commitment to ensuring the quality of higher education governance in accordance with international standards.
The audit was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., and attended by other faculty leaders, including the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Collaboration Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si. Also present were the Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, Head of General Affairs, Head of the ISO Task Force, Laboratory Heads, Head of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), FISIP UNRI ISO Team, lecturers, and administrative staff.
The audit is being conducted by certified external auditors Dimas Yuwono Wicaksono, S.T., M.T., CLA. and Muhamad Dezan Adinta, S.Kom., and will continue through Thursday, November 13, 2025.
In his remarks, Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., represented by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., emphasized that the external audit is part of a continuous effort to strengthen the quality management system within FISIP.
“This external audit is not merely an evaluation but also a reflection of our consistency and dedication in implementing a quality system. The results will serve as a foundation for continuous improvement so that FISIP’s academic and administrative services become increasingly excellent and professional. The quality of an educational institution is measured not only by its outputs but also by its standardized processes. This audit ensures that every academic and administrative process aligns with the principles of transparency, accountability, and sustainability,” he stated.
As part of the audit activities, the auditors also conducted a site tour of several facilities within FISIP UNRI, including the Integrated Service Mall (MPT), classrooms, the Multimedia Laboratory, as well as department and study program offices. The visit aimed to directly observe the implementation of quality standards and academic service delivery at the unit level.
The External Quality Audit for ISO 21001:2018 at FISIP UNRI represents a strategic step in the university’s journey toward full certification of the international standard focused on educational organization management systems.
