Early 2026 Roll Call: A Momentum for the Consolidation of FISIP UNRI Administrative Staff

 

Pekanbaru — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Riau (UNRI), held a roll call and briefing for Administrative and Technical Staff (Tenaga Kependidikan) on Wednesday (January 7, 2026) at the Assembly Point of the FISIP UNRI Dean’s Building. This activity served as a routine agenda as well as the first briefing at the beginning of 2026, aimed at strengthening coordination, consolidation, and performance evaluation of administrative staff within FISIP UNRI.

The roll call and briefing were led by the Dean of FISIP UNRI, accompanied by the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head of the General Affairs Division, and the Heads of Working Groups (Pokja) within FISIP UNRI. The activity was attended by all Civil Servant (PNS) and Government Employee with Work Agreement (PPPK) administrative staff.

The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the early-year roll call and briefing carry strategic significance as a momentum to unify steps and work spirit among all administrative staff in commencing their duties throughout 2026. Dr. Meyzi emphasized that administrative staff are a crucial element in supporting the smooth running of academic processes, administrative governance, and the achievement of institutional performance.

“Administrative staff play a highly strategic role in maintaining the quality of services and faculty governance. Therefore, shared commitment, discipline, and integrity are essential to ensure that all activities at FISIP UNRI run optimally and sustainably. And equally important, in carrying out our work, let us continue to maintain our spirit and not forget to be happy,” he remarked.

Furthermore, the Dean encouraged all administrative staff to continuously improve their work ethic, strengthen cross-unit coordination, and adapt to dynamic policies and service demands in the ever-evolving higher education environment. According to him, synergy among leadership, lecturers, and administrative staff is key to realizing effective, transparent, and service quality–oriented faculty governance.

In the same vein, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed her appreciation to all administrative staff for their dedication and contributions throughout 2025. Dr. Mayarni highlighted the importance of orderly and accountable administrative and financial management in accordance with applicable regulations to support the smooth implementation of all faculty programs and activities.

“The beginning of the year is the right momentum to strengthen our shared commitment to improving the quality of administrative services and financial management. I hope all administrative staff will continue to uphold professionalism, timeliness, and responsibility in carrying out their respective duties,” she stated.

The roll call and briefing also served as a platform for conveying information related to internal faculty policies, task distribution, and the reaffirmation of performance targets for administrative staff in 2026. In addition, the activity took place in an atmosphere of togetherness and two-way communication between the leadership and administrative staff.

Through this first roll call and briefing at the beginning of the year, FISIP UNRI hopes that all administrative staff will have a comprehensive understanding of policy directions, work targets, and the faculty’s work culture. Thus, all academic support elements within FISIP UNRI are expected to contribute optimally to enhancing institutional performance and the quality of educational services throughout 2026.
