
Pekanbaru, December 2, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), held a Socialization of ACQUIN International Accreditation as a strategic step to improve educational quality and enhance global competitiveness. This activity is part of the faculty’s efforts to implement international standards across study programs and ensure that all work units are fully prepared to undergo the accreditation process comprehensively.
The event, held at Royal Asnof Hotel, was attended by the Dean, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si.; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A.; Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si.; and Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Saiman, S.IP., M.Si. Also present were the Head of the General Affairs Division, Working Group (Pokja) Team Leaders, department heads, study program coordinators, and academic staff. Their presence underscored the faculty’s commitment to carrying out a planned and sustainable quality transformation.
Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, officially opened the event. In his remarks, Dr. Meyzi stated that this socialization serves as a strategic moment to unify perspectives and strengthen internal coordination for the international accreditation process. He emphasized that ACQUIN is not merely an administrative assessment but an essential instrument for enhancing academic quality, governance, research, innovation, and educational services aligned with global needs. He also encouraged all units to work collaboratively to meet international standards and position FISIP UNRI as an excellent and globally competitive faculty.



The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., added that academic readiness at the study program level is the key to succeeding in international accreditation. Dr. Auradian stressed that the main objective is not only to fulfill document requirements but to ensure that learning processes and quality assurance truly align with international standards. “This preparation must become a collective movement,” he said.

The first session began with a presentation by the main speaker, Ir. Hendy Santosa, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., delivered via Zoom Meeting. The material covered the basic framework of ACQUIN, assessment stages, quality evaluation principles, and strategies for preparing accreditation forms and supporting evidence. This comprehensive presentation provided an in-depth understanding of the required standards. The session, moderated by Umumnnisa Hidayati, M.InterDevPractice, continued with an interactive discussion focusing on techniques for preparing supporting documents and strategies to meet indicators.



The second session featured Dr. Yessi Olivia, S.IP., M.IntRel, who explained the technical implementation of ACQUIN standards in curriculum development, learning evaluation, lecturer quality improvement, and strengthening international collaboration. Dr. Yessi also highlighted the importance of consistent quality documentation and active involvement of all units in meeting the standards. The subsequent discussion addressed various challenges faced by study programs and departments, such as curriculum adjustments and learning outcome mapping (CPL), which the speaker responded to with practical solutions.



Through this activity, FISIP UNRI hopes that all units gain a more comprehensive understanding of ACQUIN standards and indicators. The faculty views this event as an initial step in accelerating the journey toward international accreditation while strengthening a sustainable quality culture.
