Pekanbaru — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI) conducted an initial exploration of implementing a digitalized final project process integrated with the SATU UNRI platform, held at the Information and Communication Technology Service Unit (UPA TIK) of Universitas Riau on Tuesday, February 18, 2026, at 09:00 a.m. WIB. This initiative represents a strategic step in supporting the Rector of Universitas Riau’s vision to accelerate the digital transformation of academic governance that is effective, efficient, transparent, and sustainable.
This initiative is also part of efforts to synchronize FISIP UNRI’s academic service system with Universitas Riau’s digital ecosystem through the SATU UNRI platform, which serves as a single integrated system consolidating all academic, student, and administrative services into one unified gateway.
The activity was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Working Group, and the FISIP UNRI Digitalization Team. The presence of these stakeholders reflects a collective commitment to promoting the digital transformation of academic services, particularly throughout all stages of the students’ final project process, including topic submission, supervision, proposal seminars, comprehensive examinations, and graduation adjudication.
In his remarks, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., emphasized that the digitalization of final project services represents a concrete step in implementing the university’s policy on system integration based on SATU UNRI. According to him, the system is designed not only to enhance service convenience but also to strengthen accountability, transparency, and students’ digital academic records.
“Digital transformation is not merely a shift from manual to electronic systems, but the development of a smart, integrated, and quality-oriented academic service ecosystem. Therefore, integration with SATU UNRI is key to ensuring that all processes are well documented, real-time, and measurable,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Head of UPA TIK Universitas Riau, Ibnu Daqiqil Id, S.Kom., M.T.I., Ph.D., expressed his unit’s readiness to provide full support, ranging from system planning and application development to cross-unit data integration within Universitas Riau. He explained that the system concept will be aligned with the SATU UNRI architecture to deliver standardized, secure, and easily accessible digital services for the entire academic community.
“This integration is expected to accelerate services, minimize administrative errors, and strengthen centralized academic data governance,” he explained.
Through this initiative, FISIP UNRI reaffirmed its commitment to fully supporting the Rector’s vision of realizing a digital campus that is adaptive to technological developments. The digitalization of the final project process integrated with SATU UNRI is expected to serve as a pilot model for the development of modern academic services that can be replicated across all faculties within Universitas Riau.
