Pekanbaru, December 1, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Riau officially commenced the Odd Semester Final Examinations (UAS) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This academic evaluation will take place over five working days, from December 1 to 5, 2025, and is being held in several classrooms prepared to the highest standards. Each room has been equipped with adequate facilities to ensure student comfort during the exams, including proper lighting, air conditioning, and seating arrangements that comply with examination standards.
On the first day of the UAS, faculty leaders conducted direct monitoring in several examination rooms. The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., MA, together with the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si, were accompanied by the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Working Group, Muhammad Arsyad, S.Kom., M.Si, and the Head of the General and Academic Facilities Working Group, Rudiman, S.Sos. The monitoring aimed to ensure that all exam processes ran orderly, smoothly, and in accordance with the procedures established by the faculty.
Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., MA emphasized that the UAS is an essential part of the academic cycle, not only serving to assess students’ learning outcomes but also to measure the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process throughout the semester. “We want to ensure that the UAS is conducted at the highest standard. Our presence to monitor the exams directly is also a form of support for students, so they can take the exams calmly and confidently,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., highlighted the importance of facility readiness and consistent supervision to support a smooth examination process. “FISIP is committed to maintaining the quality of exam implementation, from classroom readiness and distribution of exam materials to overall examination orderliness. We want to ensure that every process runs without obstacles, allowing students to perform at their best,” she explained.

As a form of support for students, FISIP also provides breakfast for recipients of the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) scholarship during the five days of the UAS. This initiative is intended to help students stay focused and maintain their physical condition throughout the demanding exam schedule.

Overall, the first day of the UAS proceeded smoothly and orderly. Students appeared enthusiastic and motivated while completing their exam questions. The faculty hopes this conducive atmosphere will continue until the entire exam period concludes on December 5, 2025. With a shared commitment, FISIP University of Riau remains optimistic that this year’s Odd Semester Final Examinations will serve as a momentum to further enhance educational quality, academic governance, and the competence of future graduates.
