Realizing Professional Governance, FISIP UNRI Conducts First Quarter Archival Assistance

Pekanbaru, April 7, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), carried out the First Quarter Archival Supervision Assistance and Administration activity as part of its efforts to enhance administrative order and institutional governance quality.

The activity, held within the FISIP UNRI environment, was conducted on a scheduled basis and targeted all work units, including postgraduate programs, departments, study programs, and other supporting units. The assistance was led directly by Ibni Zairi, S.Sos., M.Si, along with the assistance team, focusing on organizing, managing, and ensuring archival compliance with applicable standards.

The Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si, emphasized that this activity is a strategic step in ensuring optimal and regulation-compliant archival management.
“This assistance is not only aimed at improving archival administration but also serves as a form of institutional readiness in facing archival audits and enhancing governance accountability.”

Furthermore, Dr. Mayarni highlighted the importance of synergy among work units in preparing archival documents systematically and in an integrated manner. Each unit is expected to understand archival management standards and consistently implement them in daily administrative activities.

The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., who was met on a separate occasion, also expressed support for the implementation of this activity. According to him, proper archival management is a crucial foundation for realizing professional, transparent, and competitive faculty governance.

“Archives are not merely documents; they are an essential part of institutional memory that must be preserved, managed, and utilized properly,” stated Dr. Meyzi.

Through this assistance activity, FISIP UNRI hopes that all work units will be better prepared to meet national archival standards and improve the overall quality of administrative services. This initiative also reflects the faculty’s ongoing commitment to promoting bureaucratic reform and enhancing the quality of public services within the higher education environment. (Enggy-RIRY)
