Pekanbaru, April 30, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Riau, organized a fun walk attended by lecturers, administrative staff, members of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), as well as cleaning staff within the FISIP UNRI environment. The event was held on Thursday (April 30), with the gathering point at the front yard of the FISIP Dean’s Office Building, Universitas Riau.
The activity, which began at 07:45 AM (WIB), aimed to strengthen social bonds while maintaining the physical fitness of the entire academic community. The walking route covered several areas of the campus, passing through FISIP–LPPM–Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta)–Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (Faperika)–and returning to FISIP.
The fun walk was officially flagged off by the Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si. In his remarks, he stated that the activity serves as an important momentum to strengthen togetherness within the faculty. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining good health as a support for work productivity and academic performance.
“Through this fun walk, we not only maintain physical fitness but also strengthen the sense of family among all members of the FISIP academic community,” said Dr. Meyzi.
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed her appreciation for the participation of all attendees. She hopes that similar activities can continue to be held regularly as part of efforts to create a healthy and harmonious working environment.
The fun walk was carried out with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of togetherness, reflecting the close-knit and family-oriented spirit within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau. (Enggy-RIRY)
