
Pekanbaru — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Riau held a Socialization of the Final Project Guidelines for the Diploma IV and Undergraduate Programs for 2026 on Tuesday (February 3, 2026). The event took place in the DPH Meeting Room on the second floor of the Dean’s Building at FISIP Universitas Riau and was attended by faculty leadership, educational staff, heads of academic and student affairs working groups, as well as student representatives from all departments and study programs within FISIP Universitas Riau.
This socialization was conducted as part of the faculty’s efforts to deliver comprehensive, directed, and uniform information regarding the latest provisions, procedures, and policies in the implementation of final projects. Through this activity, the faculty sought to align the perspectives of all stakeholders so that the process of preparing and completing students’ final projects can proceed in accordance with established academic standards.
The event opened with welcoming remarks as well as a presentation and meeting leadership by Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A. In his address, he emphasized that the final project guidelines serve as a crucial instrument in maintaining the quality, consistency, and accountability of academic processes within FISIP Universitas Riau.
“These final project guidelines serve as a common reference for students, academic supervisors, and academic administrators, ensuring that their implementation is orderly, well-directed, and aligned with the academic standards set by the faculty,” said Dr. Auradian Marta.

Furthermore, he explained that the socialization aims to minimize potential differences in interpretation in the application of final project regulations across departments and study programs. With a shared understanding, students are expected to experience a clearer, more structured, and measurable academic process, while also encouraging improvements in the quality of scholarly work.
On a separate occasion, the Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the socialization activity. He viewed the event as a strategic step in strengthening academic governance and ensuring the consistent implementation of academic policies across all units.
According to him, the final project guidelines being socialized need to be thoroughly understood and applied by students, lecturers, and academic administrators so that the study completion process can be carried out effectively, efficiently, and with high quality.
During the presentation session, the academic team of FISIP Universitas Riau provided a detailed explanation of the substance of the final project guidelines, covering submission requirements, supervision mechanisms, assessment provisions, and the stages of the final project examination. The activity was also complemented by a discussion and question-and-answer session to provide clarification on various technical aspects related to the implementation of the guidelines.
Through this socialization activity, FISIP Universitas Riau reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of academic governance, strengthening coordination among units, and supporting the timely completion of students’ studies in accordance with applicable regulations. (Enggy-AM)
