Pekanbaru, April 17, 2026 — The Information and Documentation Management Officer of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (PPID FISIP UNRI), carried out an update of the Public Information List (DIP), the Exempt Information List (DIK), and a consequence test as a strategic step to strengthen public information disclosure governance within the faculty. The activity took place at the Akar Beluru Room of FISIP UNRI, attended by members of the faculty leadership, the PPID team, information-producing units, administrative managers, archive and documentation officers, administrative staff, legal representatives, and the information systems support team.
This activity became an important part of ensuring that the classification of public information within the faculty remains relevant, compliant with regulations, and adaptive to the development of information service governance.
Dean Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized that updating the DIP, DIK, and conducting the consequence test reflects the faculty’s commitment to providing professional, transparent, and accountable information services.

“Public information disclosure must go hand in hand with the protection of information that is legally exempted. Therefore, evaluation and updates need to be carried out periodically so that public services can continue to improve.”
Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., stated that sound information governance also supports the strengthening of academic services within the faculty.

“Well-organized information will make it easier for the academic community to access services, while also improving the effectiveness of academic administration and decision-making.”
Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., added that updating the exempt information list is also important to maintain administrative order and the security of the institution’s strategic documents.

“Every document must be managed according to its classification. Through a proper consequence test process, the faculty can maintain a balance between transparency and information protection.”
Head of PPID FISIP, Dr. Fajriani Ananda, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the consequence test is an important instrument to ensure that every exempted piece of information has undergone an objective, thorough, and legally compliant review process.

“Through the updating of the DIP, DIK, and this consequence test, we want to ensure that public information services are transparent while still protecting information that must legally remain confidential. In this way, information governance at FISIP UNRI can become more orderly, accountable, and trustworthy.”

The forum produced several important documents, including meeting minutes, an exempt information matrix, consequence considerations if information is disclosed or withheld, recommendations on exemption periods, and the formal determination of the DIP and DIK within FISIP UNRI.
FISIP UNRI continues to demonstrate its commitment to realizing open, responsive, and accountable public information services, while ensuring the public’s right to information is fulfilled in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.
