Towards Excellent Accreditation: Business Administration of FISIP UNRI Undergoes LAMSPAK Field Assessment

Pekanbaru, 20 November 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), welcomed the Assessor Team from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Social Sciences, Politics, Administration, and Communication (LAMSPAK) for the Field Assessment of the Business Administration Study Program on Thursday (20/11/2025). The activity, held in the Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of the FISIP UNRI Dean Building, was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Hermandra, M.A., and will take place over three days, from 20 to 22 November 2025. The two assessors assigned are Prof. Dr. Teddy Hikmat Fauzi, M.Si., and Dr. Drs. Urip Santoso, S.E., M.M., Ak., CA.

This field assessment is a crucial stage in the accreditation process as it serves as a moment of verification, clarification, and data deepening of the documents previously submitted through the accreditation forms. The assessors reviewed various aspects, including the curriculum, learning processes, study program governance, academic service quality, and the career trajectories of alumni. The evaluation also examined the consistency of internal quality assurance implementation and the study program’s contribution to addressing the needs of society, the workforce, and the industrial sector.

The event was attended by university and faculty leadership, including the Secretary of LPPMP UNRI, Heads of UPA across Universitas Riau, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., and Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Collaboration Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si. The presence of FISIP Professors, the Head of the Administrative Sciences Department, the Coordinator of the Business Administration Study Program, Laboratory Heads, the Head of General Affairs, Working Group Leaders, the accreditation team, students, and alumni demonstrated the readiness and unity of all parties in supporting this process.

Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the field assessment is not only an evaluation process but also a moment of reflection for the study program and the faculty to continuously improve educational quality. He expressed appreciation to the entire team for their intensive work in preparing documents, completing physical evidence, and presenting various academic and non-academic achievements. “This assessment process is not only an evaluation but also a learning space for us to continuously enhance the quality of educational management and ensure that academic services truly create impact for students.”

UNRI Rector Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si., represented by Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Hermandra, M.A., extended a warm welcome to the assessors in his remarks. He emphasized that the university’s support for this accreditation process is part of UNRI’s broader effort to improve institutional quality comprehensively.

Coordinator of the Business Administration Study Program, Dr. Lie Othman, S.Pi., M.M., in his report explained that accreditation preparations had been carried out systematically over several months, involving collaboration among lecturers, administrative staff, students, and alumni. “This field assessment is an opportunity for us to showcase various learning innovations, research and community service activities, as well as the strong track record of our alumni across sectors. We hope the results of this assessment will strengthen our position as one of the leading programs in FISIP UNRI,” he stated.

Throughout the three-day assessment, the assessors are scheduled to carry out a series of activities, including inspecting classrooms, laboratories, student service facilities, and lecturers’ workspaces. In addition, they will hold in-depth discussions with faculty leadership, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and alumni to evaluate the alignment of the curriculum with national standards and industry needs. The assessment also focuses on the implementation of internal quality assurance, lecturer competency development strategies, research achievements, and the impact of community service activities.

With the completion of this field assessment, FISIP UNRI is optimistic that the Business Administration Study Program will achieve Excellent Accreditation. The faculty reaffirms its commitment to continuously strengthening adaptive, professional, and industry-oriented educational management to produce competitive graduates who are relevant to current developments.
