Pekanbaru, April 14, 2026 — The Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), held a Halal Bihalal gathering in a warm and family-like atmosphere as a momentum to strengthen ties among the academic community following Eid al-Fitr.
The event was attended by the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., along with the Vice Deans, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Heads of Study Programs within FISIP, Heads of Working Groups, lecturers, and administrative staff. The presence of all these elements reflected a strong sense of togetherness and institutional solidarity in supporting the advancement of FISIP UNRI.
In a friendly and engaging atmosphere, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that Halal Bihalal is not merely an annual tradition, but also a strategic space to strengthen the values of togetherness and a harmonious work culture within the campus environment.
“The Halal Bihalal moment serves as a reminder for all of us to continue maintaining unity, strengthening synergy, and building an academic environment that is conducive, productive, and full of integrity,” said Dr. Meyzi.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of cross-unit collaboration within FISIP as a foundation for improving the quality of education, research, and community service.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Communication Science Department, Dr. Rumyeni, S.Sos., M.Sc., stated that the event serves as an important momentum to strengthen internal communication and foster a spirit of togetherness among all members of the department.
“This Halal Bihalal is not only a moment for mutual forgiveness, but also an opportunity to strengthen working relationships, build more open communication, and unify our spirit in advancing the Department of Communication Science,” she explained.
