The meeting served as a platform for discussion, idea exchange, and broadening insights on student organizational governance and various activities carried out on each campus.
Discussions also highlighted student achievements resulting from active involvement in organizations and participation in various national-level competitions, including through the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa).
Accompanying the delegation, Dr. Saiman, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of FISIP UNRI, emphasized the importance of exchanging ideas between student organizations across universities.

“This meeting is very important, particularly to observe the governance of student organizations at BLU-status state universities like UNRI and BH-status state universities like UNAND. Through this, student organizations can learn, adapt, and develop better systems,” he said.
In line with this, the President of BEM FISIP UNRI, M. Ali Suhadi, stated that the agenda was not only a forum for exchanging thoughts but also a momentum to strengthen brotherhood.
“This activity enriches our knowledge, not only in terms of organizational management but also culture. We can share experiences between Minangkabau culture in West Sumatra and Malay culture in Riau. I hope this event sparks innovation within student organizations to create more meaningful programs,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of BLM FISIP UNRI, Taufik Hidayat, stressed that the meeting also served as an initial step to revive student organization forums at the Sumatra level.
“In addition to strengthening relations between FISIP UNRI and FISIP UNAND, we also aim to revitalize the student legislative forum across Sumatra. From this meeting, we can learn both the differences and similarities of student organizations, then use them as a foundation for future collaboration,” he explained.
On behalf of the host, the President of BEM FISIP UNAND welcomed the visit, noting that cooperation and networking among inter-campus student organizations are vital to reinforce solidarity and improve the quality of student organizational governance both regionally and nationally (Enggy-Hadi)
