Pekanbaru, October 2, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), celebrated its 63rd Anniversary with a festive event held in front of the Dean’s Building. The celebration began with a fun walk around the Universitas Riau campus. Participants walked together with enthusiasm, engaging in light conversations along the way, creating a relaxed yet healthy atmosphere.
The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., waved the starting flag to officially mark the beginning of the fun walk. The activity was not only aimed at promoting physical fitness but also at strengthening togetherness among the faculty leadership, lecturers, administrative staff, and members of Dharma Wanita FISIP UNRI. After the walk, all participants gathered again at the Dean’s courtyard to share breakfast in a warm and family-like atmosphere.
In his remarks, Dr. Meyzi emphasized that the 63rd milestone is a significant momentum to reinforce FISIP’s role. He reminded everyone that FISIP is one of the founding pillars of Universitas Riau and must continue to contribute meaningfully in education, research, and community service. The sense of gratitude was symbolized through the traditional tumpeng cutting ceremony.
The Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., also expressed her appreciation to the entire academic community. According to her, togetherness is an essential asset to maintain FISIP UNRI’s solidarity in facing future challenges.
Coinciding with the fun walk, the Head of the Digitalization Team, Hussein Al Muhtadeebillah, S.ST., M.A.B., introduced the innovative Piawai Kepegawaian application, designed to strengthen digital transformation in administrative services within FISIP.
As the closing highlight, the committee held a door prize drawing from the fun walk coupons. The lively and enthusiastic atmosphere during the prize distribution brought the 63rd Anniversary celebration of FISIP UNRI to a cheerful close. (Enggy-RIRY)
