Pekanbaru, September 29, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Riau held an Internal Audit Training for Study Programs based on ISO 21001:2018 on Monday (29/9) at the DPH Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, FISIP Dean Building. The event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and the academic implementation team.
The training featured speakers from PT Nusajaya Qualiti Indonesia (NSQ Indonesia), namely Andika and Muhammad Dezan Adinta, who have extensive experience in implementing educational quality standards. Through this training, participants were equipped with practical knowledge and technical skills relevant to supporting the implementation of internal audits in higher education institutions.
Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., in his opening remarks emphasized the importance of this activity as a strategic step to improve the quality of academic governance. According to him, internal audits are not merely an administrative obligation but an integral part of a quality culture that must be carried out sustainably.
“This internal audit is an essential part of ensuring educational quality in accordance with ISO 21001:2018 standards. Through this activity, we hope all study programs at FISIP UNRI will be better prepared to face global challenges and provide the best educational services for students,” said the Dean.

Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this training. He stressed that the activity not only broadened insights but also strengthened the shared commitment to applying transparent, accountable, and continuously improving governance.
“This training provides a more comprehensive understanding of conducting systematic internal audits. As a result, the evaluation outcomes can serve as a foundation for decision-making to improve the quality of learning.”

Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the implementation of ISO internal audits is also closely related to the management of faculty resources. According to her, orderly financial governance and supporting facilities will further strengthen the success of quality standard implementation.
“Internal audits are not only about academics but also about efficient and accountable resource management. With a shared commitment, FISIP UNRI can build strong governance to support sustainable education quality,” emphasized Dr. Mayarni.

The training materials covered the fundamentals of ISO 21001:2018, internal audit methods, report preparation, and audit simulations for study programs. In addition, participants engaged in interactive discussions that provided a platform for sharing experiences and solutions to various academic quality challenges.



Through this activity, FISIP Universitas Riau reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of higher education. The implementation of ISO 21001:2018 is expected to ensure that each study program provides educational services that meet international standards.
Thus, graduates of FISIP UNRI will not only possess academic excellence but also practical skills and strong competitiveness, both nationally and globally.
