Pekanbaru, September 30, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI) carried out the ISO 21001:2018 Internal Audit, which took place at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of the Dean’s Building at 08:30 WIB. The event was attended by all faculty leaders, including the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation, Head of Laboratory, Head of Administration, Head of the Working Group Team, ISO Team, lecturers, and education staff.
This internal audit was conducted by PT. Nusajaya Qualiti Indonesia (NSQ Indonesia), an institution experienced in implementing and assisting quality standards in higher education institutions. The presence of external auditors is expected to provide an objective perspective as well as constructive input for improving the education management system at FISIP UNRI.
The Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized that the implementation of ISO 21001:2018 is not merely about meeting administrative standards but also a concrete effort to improve the quality of higher education services.
“ISO 21001:2018 is specifically designed for educational institutions. Its main goal is to ensure that the learning process is more structured, transparent, and oriented towards student satisfaction as well as stakeholder expectations. Through this internal audit, we can assess how far the system has been implemented and identify what needs to be improved in the future.”
Dr. Meyzi also highlighted that the involvement of all elements — leadership, lecturers, and education staff — is essential to truly foster a culture of quality within FISIP UNRI.
Meanwhile, the representative of PT. Nusajaya Qualiti Indonesia (NSQ Indonesia), Andika, expressed appreciation for FISIP UNRI’s readiness in carrying out this audit.
“FISIP Universitas Riau has shown a strong commitment to implementing the ISO 21001:2018 standard. We observed concrete steps already being taken, and through this audit, we hope to provide useful input so that the education management system becomes more effective and sustainable,” he said.
The ISO 21001:2018 Internal Audit is part of FISIP UNRI’s commitment to maintaining accountable educational governance while also responding to the demands of the globalization era in higher education.
