Pekanbaru, October 3, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), held the Closing Session of the ISO 21001:2018 Internal Audit at the DPH Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, FISIP UNRI Dean Building. This event marked the final stage of the internal audit process, aimed at ensuring that the education management system complies with international quality standards.
Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., in his remarks, expressed appreciation to all auditors, auditees, and external facilitators. “This internal audit is not merely about fulfilling administrative obligations, but also our effort to maintain a commitment to quality, transparency, and accountability in the implementation of higher education at FISIP Universitas Riau,” he said.

The internal audit results showed no major findings, only 10 minor corrections and 29 OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement). OFIs represent the auditors’ observations regarding potential improvements in a system, process, or procedure to make them more effective and efficient. Based on these results, FISIP UNRI was declared eligible for the ISO 21001:2018 Certification Audit.
The internal audit process at FISIP UNRI was supported by NSQ Indonesia, an institution experienced in assisting educational organizations in the implementation of education management standards. NSQ Indonesia also provided constructive input to help FISIP UNRI become better prepared to face the challenges of sustainable quality education.

Dr. Meyzi also added that the audit results will serve as a valuable evaluation tool for improving both academic and non-academic services. “We are committed to following up on the findings and recommendations of this internal audit. In doing so, FISIP UNRI can continue to improve and enhance the quality of education, in line with the university’s vision of achieving excellent and world-class governance,” he concluded.
