The Warmth of Eid al-Fitr Gathering: FISIP UNRI Welcomes the Faculty of Law Visit with a Spirit of Togetherness

Pekanbaru, April 2, 2026 — In the spirit of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), warmly received a courtesy visit from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Riau. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, filled with a strong sense of togetherness and family spirit.

The visit was attended directly by the leadership of the Faculty of Law UNRI, including the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Hayatul Ismi, S.H., M.H.; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hengki Firmanda S., S.H., LL.M.; Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Rahmad Hendra, S.H., M.Kn.; and Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Ulfia Hasanah, S.H., M.Kn. Also present were distinguished professors in the field of law, Prof. Dr. Firdaus, S.H., M.H. and Prof. Dr. Erdianto, S.H., M.Hum.

From the FISIP UNRI side, the delegation from the Faculty of Law was welcomed by the leadership of FISIP, consisting of the Dean, Vice Deans, as well as heads of departments and members of the academic community. The reception reflected the strong institutional relationship that has long been established between the two faculties.

The Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his gratitude and happiness for the visit. He emphasized that Eid al-Fitr is not only a moment for mutual forgiveness but also an opportunity to strengthen synergy among faculties within Universitas Riau.

“Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. Minal Aidzin Wal Faidzin, please forgive us for any past mistakes. May this sacred moment strengthen our brotherhood, tighten our bonds, and open wider opportunities for collaboration between faculties, especially between FISIP and the Faculty of Law. This togetherness is an important foundation in building a competitive and excellent institution,” he stated.

Furthermore, he expressed hope that the good relationship that has been established would continue to grow, not only in academic affairs but also in research and community service.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UNRI, Dr. Hayatul Ismi, S.H., M.H., also expressed appreciation for the warm welcome extended by FISIP UNRI. She emphasized that this gathering is part of a positive tradition that should continue to be preserved within the academic environment.

“This visit is not only a moment for mutual forgiveness but also for strengthening harmonious institutional relations. We hope that in the future, collaboration between the Faculty of Law and FISIP will become even stronger, particularly in the development of complementary fields of knowledge,” she stated.

A similar view was also conveyed by one of the professors from the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Firdaus, S.H., M.H. He highlighted that synergy among faculties is key to facing the increasingly complex challenges in higher education.

“Interdisciplinary collaboration has become a necessity in today’s era. The close relationship between FISIP and the Faculty of Law will certainly contribute positively, both in research development and in producing high-quality and competitive graduates,” he remarked.

The gathering took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, marked by handshakes, casual conversations, and strengthened bonds among the academic communities of both faculties. This Eid al-Fitr moment is expected to serve as a good starting point for enhancing future collaboration and synergy.
