Ahead of Internal Audit, FISIP UNRI Discusses ISO 21001:2018 Implementation Strategy

Pekanbaru, September 12, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Riau held a preparatory meeting for the upcoming ISO 21001:2018 Internal Audit at the Studio Classroom, 2nd Floor, FISIP Postgraduate Building, on Friday (12/9).

The meeting was led by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., and attended by the faculty leadership team, including the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si.; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A.; Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si.; along with Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Divisions, Working Group Leaders, and the ISO Team of FISIP UNRI.

In his remarks, Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the importance of consistency and commitment across all elements of the faculty in maintaining the quality of educational management through the implementation of ISO 21001:2018 standards.

“This internal audit preparation is not merely an administrative requirement but also a momentum to strengthen the quality culture within FISIP Universitas Riau. I hope that all leaders, lecturers, and staff can actively contribute so that the audit results will run optimally,” he stated.

The meeting continued with a technical presentation by the Head of the ISO Team at FISIP UNRI, Dr. Baskoro Wicaksono, S.IP., M.IP. In his presentation, he provided a detailed explanation of the necessary steps, ranging from document readiness and evaluation mechanisms to inter-unit coordination strategies.

The agenda focused on aligning preparatory steps for the audit, reviewing supporting documents, and strengthening cross-unit coordination within FISIP. The presence of all leaders and related teams was expected to unify the vision in realizing educational governance that is transparent, accountable, and aligned with international standards.

The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants provided inputs that will be followed up as part of the strategy to strengthen the ISO 21001:2018-based quality management system at FISIP Universitas Riau.
