Pekanbaru, September 12, 2025 — In preparation for the accreditation process through the Independent Accreditation Agency for Social, Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences (LAMSPAK), the Business Administration Study Program, Department of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Riau, held an accreditation preparation simulation through a coordination meeting.
The meeting was led directly by the Coordinator of the Business Administration Study Program, Dr. Lie Othman, S.Pi, MM, who emphasized the importance of synergy among all elements in the preparation of documents and on-site readiness. In his remarks, Dr. Lie Othman (commonly known as Pak Lie) stated that accreditation is not merely an administrative assessment but also a momentum for continuous evaluation and quality improvement.
"This simulation is an important part of ensuring that all elements of the Business Administration Study Program are truly ready, both in terms of documentation, internal quality assurance systems, as well as facilities and human resources readiness. We want the best results for the Business Administration Study Program," he said.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Accreditation Team of the Business Administration Study Program, Drs. Kasmirudin, M.Si, also delivered a presentation on the progress of accreditation preparations. He explained that the team had completed the accreditation self-evaluation documents. Furthermore, the Secretary of the Accreditation Team, Syofiatul Safitri, S.Sos, M.AB, added, "We have mapped the LAMSPAK criteria and aligned them with the conditions of the Business Administration Study Program. With a solid team collaboration, we are optimistic that the Study Program will achieve the best possible results in the upcoming accreditation process."
Showing full commitment to the success of the accreditation process, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos, M.Si, also expressed his support for this activity. He stressed that the Faculty would provide full support for all the needs of the Business Administration Study Program in order to ensure the success of the LAMSPAK accreditation visitation.
"The Faculty fully supports this visitation process. We are ready to facilitate all the needs of the Business Administration Study Program, whether in administrative aspects, infrastructure, or other resources. Our hope is that the Business Administration Study Program will achieve the highest accreditation status as a reflection of the quality of education at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences," said Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto.
The meeting was attended by faculty members, academic staff, and the accreditation task force team, each of whom plays an important role in preparing the required documents and supporting data.
Through this simulation, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Riau hopes that the upcoming visitation process will run smoothly and that the Business Administration Study Program—well known for its “solid” spirit—will achieve the highest accreditation status, reflecting Universitas Riau’s commitment to ensuring high-quality and competitive education (Hussein/Frini/Deni)
