From Audit to Action: FISIP UNRI Strengthens Quality Assurance

Pekanbaru, September 16, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI) held a follow-up meeting on the results of the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) together with the Quality Assurance Center (PJM) team from the Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LPMPP) UNRI. The meeting, which took place in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of the Dean’s Building, was part of FISIP’s effort to strengthen its quality assurance system and ensure the achievement of competitive academic standards.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., and the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si. Also in attendance were the Quality Assurance Unit, Quality Assurance Clusters, department heads, and study program coordinators.

In his remarks, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si. emphasized the importance of follow-up on the AMI results as part of continuous improvement within the faculty. According to him, a commitment to quality will strengthen academic services while also supporting the achievement of both national and international standards.

Meanwhile, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A. highlighted the need for active involvement of all faculty elements so that audit recommendations can be effectively implemented. He believes this will have a positive impact on the improvement of teaching, research, and community service.

Coordinator of PJM LPMPP UNRI, Prof. Reni Suryanita, ST., MT., Ph.D., added that quality assurance should become a work culture, not merely an administrative formality. Prof. Reni encouraged FISIP to follow up on every recommendation with concrete actions to be better prepared for accreditation and external evaluations.

The discussion was interactive, with various inputs and strategies proposed by participants. Through this Management Review Meeting, each unit at FISIP is expected to strengthen internal evaluation and develop a sustainable improvement plan.

This activity further underscores FISIP UNRI’s commitment to building accountable, transparent, and quality-oriented governance with the goal of producing excellent graduates ready to compete globally. (Enggy-RIRY)
