Ensuring Academic Readiness, FISIP Universitas Riau Leadership Conducts On-Site Monitoring of First Lectures in the Odd Semester

Pekanbaru, August 4, 2025 — At the start of the Odd Semester for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau (UNRI) conducted direct visits to several classrooms for Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev). This activity marks the faculty's initial step in ensuring academic readiness from the very first day of lectures.

The monitoring team consisted of the faculty leadership and structural officials of FISIP: Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.Si.; Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si.; Head of Administration Susi Heptariani, SE.Ak., M.Ak.; Academic Sub-Coordinator Muhammad Arsyad, S.Kom., M.Si.; General Affairs and Academic Facilities Sub-Coordinator Rudiman, S.Sos.; and Student Affairs Sub-Coordinator Shaffia Mia Friana, S.Kom. Several classes were observed directly to ensure the presence of lecturers and students, the readiness of facilities, and the smooth implementation of learning activities according to the schedule.

Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., conveyed a message regarding the monitoring activity, stating that it reflects the faculty's commitment to upholding academic quality from the outset. “The first day of lectures reflects our seriousness in building a quality learning process. This monitoring ensures that all components are ready to fulfill their responsibilities,” said Dr. Meyzi.

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., emphasized the importance of discipline from the beginning. “The presence and consistency of lecturers, along with student engagement from day one, are crucial to the continuity of the academic process.”

Meanwhile, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, expressed appreciation for the collective enthusiasm of all academic staff. “We observed a positive spirit from students and the readiness of lecturers and education personnel. This is a promising start to the semester.”

Through this early-semester classroom monitoring, FISIP UNRI demonstrates its commitment to fostering a learning environment that is orderly, professional, and productive.
