Pekanbaru, August 8, 2025 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI), welcomed the visit of the Assessment Team from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the Field Assessment of the Doctoral Program in Public Administration, on Friday (8/8/2025). This assessment is an important part of the educational quality assurance process, ensuring that FISIP UNRI’s Doctoral Program in Public Administration operates in accordance with the national quality standards set by BAN-PT.
The event, held in the Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of the FISIP UNRI Dean’s Building, was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Riau, represented by the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Yuana Nurulita, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. In her remarks, she extended a warm welcome to the BAN-PT assessors, Dr. R. Ahmad Buchari, S.IP., M.Si. (Universitas Padjadjaran) and Dr. Roni Ekha Putera, S.IP., M.PA. (Universitas Andalas). She also expressed deep appreciation to the accreditation team and the entire academic community of FISIP UNRI for their hard work in preparing all documents, data, and supporting facilities for the assessment.




Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized that the field assessment is not merely an administrative evaluation process, but also a strategic opportunity to gain valuable insights from experienced assessors. According to him, this moment serves as an important milestone to strengthen academic governance, enhance the quality of research and scientific publications, and expand collaborative networks that will benefit the program’s development in the future.

The assessment was also attended by several university and faculty leaders, including the Head of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPPMPP UNRI), Dr. Belli Nasution, S.IP., M.A., the Coordinator of the Quality Assurance Center, Prof. Reni Suryanita, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., and Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si. Also present were professors, department heads, laboratory heads, administrative coordinators, sub-coordinators across FISIP, lecturers, the doctoral program’s accreditation team, students, alumni, and representatives of graduate users.





Head of the Doctoral Program in Public Administration, Dr. Adianto, S.Sos., M.Si., explained that the assessment agenda included data clarification, validation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) implementation, evaluation of learning outcomes, and in-depth interviews with lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, and graduate stakeholders. He noted that the entire process reflects transparency and FISIP UNRI’s commitment to maintaining the quality and relevance of education in line with societal needs and the demands of the job market.

The field assessment concluded with the initial feedback from the assessors, which included notes, suggestions, and recommendations for future program development. The event proceeded with data confirmation, review of supporting documents, and the signing of the Field Assessment Official Report, marking the formal conclusion of the visit.





The entire series of activities demonstrated strong synergy among all elements within Universitas Riau, particularly in FISIP, in building an excellent, competitive, and sustainable institution. More than that, the assessment serves as tangible proof of FISIP UNRI’s commitment to continuously improving the quality of education in order to produce competent graduates with integrity, ready to face global challenges.
