University of Riau Holds WMK Youth Action Boot Camp Batch III, 2024

Pekanbaru, October 28, 2024 – The University of Riau (UNRI), through its Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (P2K2) and the Institute for Development and Quality Assurance in Education (LPPMP), organized the "Patriotic Entrepreneur" Boot Camp. This event, aimed at the participants of UNRI’s WMK Youth Action Batch III, took place at the Student Center Building and UNRI’s Rectorate Field.

In its third year, WMK Youth Action demonstrates UNRI's commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among students. This Boot Camp focuses on innovation and creativity, promoting entrepreneurship based on national pride. Participants were encouraged to learn, engage in discussions, and build networks that would be beneficial for their futures.

Dr. Julita, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., the head of WMK Youth Action, expressed that the Boot Camp is a golden opportunity for students to develop their potential and entrepreneurial skills. "We hope this event will shape students to be innovative and prepared to face challenges in the workforce and entrepreneurship. With support from the mentoring lecturers, students are expected to enhance skills that align with current industry demands," said Dr. Julita.

Supporting Main Performance Indicator (IKU) 3, UNRI’s lecturers from FISIP actively contributed as Field Supervisors (DPL), including Dr. Fajriani Ananda, S.Sos., M.Si., and Risky Arya Putri, S.Sos., M.Si from the Public Administration Program; Syofiatul Safitri, M.AB., and Hussein Al Muhtadeebillah, S.ST, M.AB., from the Business Administration Program; and Dr. Tantri Puspita Yazid, M.I.Kom., and Nurul Mustaqimmah, S.I.Kom., M.Soc.Sc., from the Communication Science Department.

The guidance from these DPL lecturers not only motivated students in the event but also aimed to produce UNRI graduates ready to contribute to economic development, particularly in entrepreneurship. The WMK Youth Action Boot Camp stands as a concrete example of UNRI's role in supporting the development of high-quality human resources ready to compete globally.
