About MBKM FISIP UNRI
The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Riau (FISIP UNRI) actively supports the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) as an effort to realize higher education that is adaptive, relevant, and has a real impact on society. Through this program, FISIP UNRI provides opportunities for students to develop academic competencies, professional skills, and social experiences outside the campus environment.
There are two main MBKM programs managed by FISIP UNRI, namely:
The Impactful MBKM Community Service (Kukerta) program is a form of student service to the community with a collaborative and solution-based approach. Through this program, students are deployed directly to the field to identify social, economic, and environmental issues in the community, and then design and implement programs that provide a positive and sustainable impact. This program not only trains empathy and social awareness but also fosters analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
The MBKM Internship program provides opportunities for students to gain real work experience in various government agencies, private institutions, and non-profit organizations. Students learn to apply the knowledge gained in class to professional situations, while understanding the dynamics of the professional world firsthand. This program is designed to strengthen practical skills, work ethics, and professional networks as preparation for life after campus.
