Pekanbaru, 24 September 2024 - The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau held its routine monthly gathering once again. The event took place on Tuesday, 24 September 2024, in the Dean's Meeting Room on the 2nd floor, starting from 14:00 WIB until completion. This gathering was special as it included a sermon in commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.
The sermon, themed "The Exemplary Character of Prophet Muhammad SAW in Household Life," was delivered by Ustadzah Sofia Harahap, a renowned female preacher known for her inspirational talks on Islamic values in everyday life. In her lecture, Ustadzah Sofia emphasized the importance of emulating the Prophet Muhammad's character and morals, especially in maintaining harmony and justice within the family. She also provided practical examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad SAW that could be applied by DWP members in their households.
In addition to the meaningful sermon, the event also included DWP FISIP Universitas Riau's routine monthly gathering, which always serves as a moment of togetherness and strengthening familial bonds among members.
The Chairwoman of DWP FISIP Universitas Riau, Mrs. Delianty Meyzi, expressed her appreciation to all the women who attended on time and actively participated in this event. She also extended her gratitude to Ustadzah Sofia Harahap for her enlightening sermon, which provided spiritual insights to DWP FISIP members. It is hoped that this sermon will serve as a means to enrich religious knowledge.
The event concluded with a joint prayer led by Ustadzah Sofia Harahap, the drawing of arisan numbers for members, and a group photo session.-RR-
