Pekanbaru, December 6, 2024 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau (UNRI) held a Socialization of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) in a hybrid format, gathering representatives from student associations in person and participants online, encompassing all students within FISIP UNRI.
The event was opened by Master of Ceremony Sofia Tu Tasnim and continued with remarks from Dr. Saiman, S.I.P., M.Si., the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at FISIP UNRI. In his speech, Dr. Saiman expressed his hope that this socialization would increase interest and participation of FISIP UNRI students in the Student Creativity Program while fostering a competitive spirit among them.
The event, held in the Postgraduate Room of the S3 Public Administration Program, featured Dr. Ninik Nihyatul Wahibah, M.Si., an accomplished lecturer from the Biology Department of FMIPA Universitas Riau. She is the mentor for PKM-K and won a Silver Medal at the 32nd National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) in 2019 with her work titled "TUKUL" Sandoricum koetjape Skin Tea: A Neglected High-Antioxidant Germplasm.
This activity aimed to encourage the creativity and innovation of FISIP UNRI students through the Student Creativity Program (PKM), inspire them, and motivate them to develop brilliant ideas that can contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
