Pekanbaru, September 22, 2024 — In an effort to enhance inclusive services, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Riau inaugurated a Playground facility on Saturday, September 22, 2024. The inauguration was led by the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., and attended by the Vice Dean 1 for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean 2 for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., and Vice Dean 3 for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si., along with educators, administrative staff, and relevant stakeholders.

The inaugurated Playground facility is specially designed to provide comfort for children of service users at the Integrated Service Mall (MPT) of FISIP Universitas Riau. This initiative was taken as part of FISIP's commitment to creating an inclusive and child-friendly environment.

In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the presence of this Playground is not only meant to provide a play facility for children but also as part of the effort to create a comfortable atmosphere for parents receiving services. “We hope that this facility can make a positive contribution to creating a more harmonious service experience, so that while waiting for their turn, children can play in the Playground,” he explained.

Vice Dean 2 for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., added that this step is part of FISIP Universitas Riau’s strategy to consider the needs of service users who bring their children along, ensuring that children do not feel bored while waiting.

The inauguration of the Playground, located on the 1st floor of the Dean's Office Building (opposite the P2K Room), received widespread appreciation from various parties, including educators, administrative staff, and students, as FISIP continues to strive to provide the best service. FISIP Universitas Riau is committed to continuously improving facilities and services that are friendly and inclusive for the entire academic community.-RR-
