The Complaint, Assistance, and Health Corner (P2K) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau, in collaboration with Simpang Baru Community Health Center in Binawidya District, conducted health screenings for the academic community of FISIP Universitas Riau.

The health screening included monitoring nutritional status (height, weight, and waist circumference measurements), blood sugar checks, blood pressure measurement, mental health screening, and adolescent health counseling. The medical team from Simpang Baru Community Health Center consisted of several experts in their fields, including Health Education experts Dr. Herlin Harahap, Minarni, Rahmawati, Ari Wahyuni, and the Screening Team led by Dr. Susi Andriani, Nofri Yetti, Nevi Suryanengsi, Sri Darmi, and Sarianti.

The Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed gratitude to the Simpang Baru Community Health Center, especially to its Head, Drg. Hidayani, for the cooperation between the two institutions in conducting this health screening.

This health screening event coincided with the signing of a cooperation agreement between FISIP Universitas Riau and Simpang Baru Community Health Center Pekanbaru in the areas of health education, prevention and response to outbreaks or extraordinary events, as well as communicable and non-communicable diseases. The main goal of this cooperation is to ensure optimal health for the academic community of FISIP Universitas Riau.

With this health screening event, it is hoped that students and the academic community of FISIP Universitas Riau will be more motivated to care for their own health and the surrounding environment. FISIP Universitas Riau is committed to ensuring that all students and the academic community thrive in a healthy, safe, and productive learning environment.
