On November 20, 2024, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau (UNRI) held an evaluation event for the 20-credit MBKM Community Service Program (Kukerta) 2024 at the Sutan Balia Auditorium. This significant event was attended by Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si. (Dean of FISIP), Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs), and Dr. Nurjannah, M.Si. (Head of the MBKM Program and International Accreditation Acceleration at FISIP). Representatives of the Dosen Pendamping Lapangan (Field Supervising Lecturers) and FISIP students who participated in the 20-credit MBKM Kukerta program were also present.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto expressed his appreciation to all FISIP UNRI students who successfully completed the 20-credit MBKM Kukerta program across 21 villages. He emphasized the importance of this program as a platform for students to apply academic knowledge in real-world settings, broaden their perspectives, and develop adaptability and collaboration skills within community environments.
Following this, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, provided an overview of the program's implementation, stating that the 20-credit MBKM Kukerta program had been conducted in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). He noted that this evaluation serves as a crucial moment to assess the progress, achievements, and learning outcomes gained by students during the program. He also underlined the need for continuous quality improvement to maximize the benefits of the MBKM Kukerta program for students and other stakeholders.
FISIP UNRI remains committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for its students. This aligns with the mission and goals of higher education to prepare a competent generation ready to face the challenges of globalization. Through this evaluation, it is hoped that the MBKM Kukerta program will continue to enhance its quality and deliver significant positive impacts for students, educational institutions, and the wider community.
