On December 4, 2024, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau held a workshop on the preparation of the Integrity Zone and Performance Accountability Report (LAKIN) documents at Bono Hotel, Pekanbaru. The event was attended by the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si.; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A.; Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si.; Senate Chair, Prof. Dr. Yusmar Yusuf, M.PSi; Administrative Coordinator; all Sub-Coordinators; the Integrity Zone Team; and the LAKIN Team of FISIP Universitas Riau.

In his opening remarks, Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the importance of preparing the Integrity Zone and LAKIN documents as strategic steps to enhance institutional accountability and transparency in higher education. Dr. Meyzi also reiterated FISIP Universitas Riau's commitment to upholding integrity and maintaining the quality of education.

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., highlighted the role of LAKIN in supporting data-driven and evidence-based evaluation and reporting of academic performance. “The preparation of LAKIN is not merely an administrative obligation but also a tool to ensure that academic programs align with the institution's vision and mission,” stated Dr. Auradian.

Meanwhile, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., stressed that the Integrity Zone document serves as a foundation for creating a professional and transparent work environment. “The Integrity Zone is the cornerstone of building public trust in FISIP Universitas Riau, especially in responsible financial management and quality service delivery,” said Dr. Mayarni.

The first session of the event focused on the preparation of the LAKIN document, led by the Head of the LAKIN Team, Dr. Baskoro Wicaksono, S.IP., M.IP. This session discussed performance achievements, program evaluations, and targets that need to be met within a specific period according to established standards.

The second session highlighted the preparation of the Integrity Zone document, led by the Secretary of the Integrity Zone Team, Muhammad Ihsan, S.Pd.I., M.Si. This session explored the importance of implementing integrity in all aspects of campus life, including financial management, service quality for students, and efforts to enhance the quality of human resources within FISIP Universitas Riau.

This activity is expected to encourage FISIP Universitas Riau to continuously improve its integrity and accountability, paving the way for better governance in higher education.
