In an effort to strengthen the cooperation between the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Riau (FISIP Unri) and Universitas Sriwijaya (FISIP Unsri), a faculty exchange program has been successfully implemented. This program serves as a tangible manifestation of the commitment of both institutions to enrich students' learning experiences and enhance academic competencies through the exchange of knowledge between educators.
As part of this cooperative initiative, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at FISIP Unri and a lecturer in the International Relations Department, had the opportunity to teach at the International Relations Program of FISIP Unsri. During his visit, Dr. Saiman shared insights on contemporary issues in international relations and engaged in discussions with students on the development of international relations studies in Indonesia and globally.
"Through this faculty exchange program, we hope to strengthen academic networks and promote collaboration in research and scientific publications between the two faculties," stated Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, Dean of FISIP Unri. "Moreover, students gain broader perspectives from faculty members of different universities, which can certainly enhance the quality of learning."
The Dean of FISIP Unsri, Prof. Alfitri, warmly welcomed the implementation of this collaboration and expressed hope that this partnership would continue. "We are committed to supporting programs that can enhance students' academic experiences and the professional development of faculty members," said Prof. Alfitri.
This initiative is expected to be a stepping stone for further cooperation in various areas, such as joint research, scientific seminars, and student exchanges.
