On November 4, 2024, at the Royal Asnof Hotel in Pekanbaru, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau held a Workshop on Reviewing the Strategic Plan (Renstra) 2024–2028, along with assistance for preparing the Performance Report (LAKIN) and Government Institution Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) for 2024. This event was attended by the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A, Vice Dean of General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si, as well as Coordinators and Sub-Coordinators within FISIP. Prof. Dr. Ir. Usman Tang, M.S., served as the resource person.
The Workshop Chair, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A, explained the purpose and urgency of the workshop, providing an overview of the materials to be discussed during the event. This aimed to give participants an initial understanding of the importance of the Strategic Plan, LAKIN, and SAKIP in the context of educational institution development.
Meanwhile, in his address and opening remarks, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si, focused on the importance of implementing the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan to guide the faculty's strategic steps in achieving its set vision and mission. The Dean also emphasized the significance of LAKIN and SAKIP in creating accountability and transparency in government institution performance, including within FISIP Universitas Riau.
In the first session of the workshop, the resource person, Prof. Dr. Ir. Usman Tang, M.S., presented and reviewed the Strategic Plan (Renstra) 2024–2028 for FISIP Universitas Riau. During this discussion, the goals, targets, and strategic steps to be taken by the faculty over the period were thoroughly discussed. A well-structured Strategic Plan can provide a solid foundation for the future development of FISIP Universitas Riau.
In the second session, Prof. Usman provided assistance in preparing the LAKIN and SAKIP for 2024 for FISIP Universitas Riau. Effective faculty performance evaluation and implementation of LAKIN and SAKIP will positively impact the improvement of service quality and the accountability of government institutions.
Additionally, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing participants to discuss, ask questions, and share experiences related to the implementation of the Strategic Plan, LAKIN, and SAKIP. This discussion provided a space for participants to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts discussed during the event and to enhance their understanding of strategies that can be applied to improve performance quality and accountability within FISIP Universitas Riau.
