Pekanbaru, September 21, 2024 - The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., conducted a soft launch of the new Co-Working Space located in the Postgraduate Building of FISIP Universitas Riau. This space offers more inclusive services, creating a comfortable atmosphere for all members of the academic community as users.

"As a manifestation of FISIP's commitment to providing inclusive higher education services, we have added a new Co-Working Space to complement the existing ones. This facility is equipped with computers and free internet access that can be utilized by students, whether to complete assignments between classes or for final-year students working on their thesis, dissertation, or research. To enhance comfort, we also offer free meals every Friday, in collaboration with all managers of the FISIP Education Outlets and FISIP Student Executive Board (BEM)," said Dr. Meyzi.

Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, added, "This Co-Working Space is also part of our moral obligation. The computers used here are inventory items that have been repaired from previously unused ones stored in the warehouse, but we have fixed and upgraded them, so they can now be more beneficial."

FISIP Universitas Riau continuously strives to improve educational facilities and infrastructure to support inclusive and sustainable academic quality.

This enhancement is carried out continuously, including through the provision of facilities that support student learning activities, such as comfortable study rooms, pavilions, gardens, digital facilities, and wider access to services for all students, regardless of their background. This is part of FISIP's commitment to ensuring that all members of the academic community receive an optimal and equitable educational experience.
