On October 14, 2024, the Opening Ceremony of the 62nd Anniversary of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Riau University was held. The event was part of SPYFEST, organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FISIP Riau University, under the theme "Building a Greener Tomorrow with Integrity as Our Pillar." The event took place at the FISIP Main Hall and was attended by the leadership of FISIP Riau University, including the Dean, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., Vice Dean 1 for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean 2 for General and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si, Vice Dean 3 for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si., the Administrative Coordinator, all Sub-Coordinators, BEM, BLM, and all student organizations within FISIP Riau University.
The Dean of FISIP Riau University, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his appreciation and gratitude to BEM FISIP for initiating the 62nd FISIP Anniversary event. He remarked that the theme of this anniversary is highly relevant to the current environmental situation. The successful organization of this event led him to hope that it would inspire FISIP students at Riau University to actively participate in sustainable environmental actions with high integrity.
Meanwhile, the President of BEM FISIP UNRI, Rajief Paborsky, in his speech, mentioned that to celebrate this anniversary, BEM FISIP would be holding various activities until October 24, 2024. These activities include sports events such as Volleyball, Badminton, Dominoes, Basketball, a recycling drive, and health screenings. Additionally, there will be an SME bazaar to support small and medium-sized businesses. All the activities conducted over the course of one week are aimed at fostering the development and growth of high-quality human resources among the students.
The cutting of the tumpeng (cone-shaped rice) symbolized gratitude for FISIP's 62 years, marked by numerous achievements. -ENGGY-RIRY-
