Named Embung Terpadu. Actually the lake is in the village. Not a natural lake surrounded by tropical forests like Lake Besar Island or Lake Emerald. Dayun Village truly considers itself an aquatic village. This village deserves to be called a tourist village. He has fulfilled the elements to attract people to visit and fight in the area within the village. No less than the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, he has set foot in several aquatic spots in this village.

He has fulfilled the elements to attract people to visit and fight in the area within the village. No less than the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, he has set foot in several aquatic spots in this village.
The total number of [local] visitors to this village during the peak period of the 2024 Eid holiday was 10,956 people. Rushing this non-smoke industry, is not an easy job. The key to all of this is that the availability of rural and village environmental infrastructure must be guaranteed. Mainly highways and neighborhood roads. Also, hawker and culinary centers at affordable [competitive] prices. Also, of course the host's hospitality. The environment is clean and far from all forms of rubbish.
Not just family tourism, there are also a number of outing class activities from several well-known schools in Pekanbaru. Of course I went to Dayun Village with the intention of a little healing. In fact, if you can reach the habitat of arowanas, tigers and sun bears behind this village, the healing will actually become stronger. Not thin anymore. That's the "for example" sound that visitors to this village often hear.
Dayun, a village or village, is about 18 km on a straight highway from the district capital, Siak Sri Indrapura. Precisely south of the city of Siak. Dayun positions himself as the backdrop for the Siak government center complex in Tanjung Agung. Connected by a wide, two-lane road. What's unique is that this village has been able to establish itself as the capital of the Siak Police Department. Because the main Siak Police Office is in this village. Not in the capital Siak Sri Indrapura.
If you visit from the Siak river, Dayun Village is in a hinterland position. On the other hand, if you visit from the national highway that connects the waters of Tanjung Buton-Pekanbaru, Dayun village/village is in the frontier position. Judging from this position, the city of Siak Sri Indrapura is in the hinterland position from Dayun.
There are 5 [five] doors to enter the city of Siak Sri Indrapura which were built during the era of Regent Arwin AS. One of them is access from Dayun which is bound by a wide, green two-lane road. The line drawing has the atmosphere of mega and long lines. Not a short line. Here is Arwin's advantage in building new spaces on Siak land. In fact, from the Dayun-Siak intersection, head towards the PT Camp complex circle. BSP, this main road can be widened into two lanes. Because this is where the main section of Dayun's Kilo Meter ZERO [zero stone] is. On this section of road is the main market of Dayun village which is adjacent to the handsome Siak Police Office.
At first glance, the shape of the market next to the police station is very full of swimmers and rags. It is only present in the consciousness of traders, without any design and master plan for developing the market area in a modern design, so that the presence of this market is balanced with the busy police station. The market building is not arranged properly. Look chaotic in the style of wooden tents tied with raffia rope [sorry]. Don't blame the merchant. What is clear here is that there is a thick and fat circulation of money. This means that there is fantastic economic activity in this village.
There must be a kind of courage to continue Arwin's dream of developing the Dayun area as a buffer area for the capital with the principles of dashing and juwita [beauty] effects that are imposed on Dayun village. The effects of dashing and juwita [beast and beauty] for Dayun village include widening the main road into two lanes, with international standard markings. Maybe you can start with a distance of 5 km between Simpang to Siak to the PT roundabout. BSP [check point].
Trees: soft elements that tame the appearance of giant pipes
Along the two-lane road that will be developed, efforts must be made to intervene with dense road protection plants with tall stands within a distance of 10 meters. The type of protective plant that is recommended is of course a type of tree that doesn't shed its leaves easily, and is able to shade large and wide road passages, such as terembesi [rain ki], Angsana, mahogany. These three types of plants have been planted along the soft roads of the city of Siak.
The lush trees along this section also function like a fence that covers the majesty of the giant oil pipeline that surrounds and encloses this village. Trees are present in soft elements, while giant pipes provide the harshness of hard elements. Here the trees protecting the road function like street furniture, even more gracefully, appearing in an installation art vibe that assembles hodological spaces for high-speed vehicle drivers.
Other functions? Yes, wind storage utilities, oxygen storage and water banking systems for this aquatic village. The wind is stored between the branches of the leaves, as well as oxygen. Water is blocked between the roots of protective trees. So, Dayun appears in harmony and in the same breath as the city of Siak Sri Indrapura in the ecological style of forests and shady parks.
As a tourist destination village, which happens to be where the Siak Police Station is located, Dayun should be a pilot project for traffic education, through efforts to provide main roads that are friendly and orderly to traffic, including friendly for pedestrians. Especially for pedestrians, there must be efforts to widen pedestrians [sidewalks], including providing bicycle lanes. Among the dense road protection trees, plants must also be interspersed with traffic safety functions. This plant has a type of leaf that is a reflector [radiates back at us which highlights light] aka this plant has a cat's eye effect function, especially when driving at night.
So far, for driver safety, the cat's eye effect is made of metal [hard element] which is attached with red and silver spots. Through this plant, we get the cat's eye effect through soft elements [through plants and leaves].
This plant should be planted along the main road and roads in the Kampung Dayun neighborhood towards the Embung Integrated tourist area and around the village government area. The name of this plant is always referred to in Malay naming, Paya Kelat or Daun Merah. This Paya Kelat/Red Leaf tree must always be cut/pruned and shaped in a variety of styles and appearances, according to the tastes and mission of the village [in terms of gardening science of course].
Paya Kelat leaves naturally have a reflector pattern, aka they have a cat's eye effect. Especially when drivers drive at night, it will emit light on the side of the road, so that it helps drivers know the boundaries of the road shoulder and the center line [traffic safety]. Apart from providing a light and soft effect for the tired rider's eyes, he also tames the hard elements of iron which are displayed by the curves and extensions of the giant pipe which is the color of death [legally dead color].
By increasing the number of soft elements along the main road which is lined with iron pipe hard elements, we can at the same time give the impression that the position of the village and the realm of the residents' homes with all the cultural equipment that lives in this village/village, are not under the cradle of a giant iron arch. . If we cannot tame this iron arch through a mass of soft plants, that means we are presenting a rough, hard, vulgar side of the village and far from cultural purity.
When we agree to enter a tourism regime, whether we like it or not, we must start building a strong culture. Because tourism is the effect of a strong culture. One of them is living in a pro-green and eco-friendly quality. Agile in providing a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The main condition for being beautiful or beautiful is that it is clean. If there was a woman with a beautiful face: But we would stop saying she was beautiful/lawa, if there was a nosebleed sticking to her cheek.
We may say that an entire room is beautiful, but if it is hot and exposed to the sun in such a way, then we have no right to gather and pamper ourselves with the intention of healing in the slightest. What's more, thick healing. In essence, the Siak Regency Government must start to unite the appearance of Dayun village in the same breath and harmony as the city of Siak Sri Indrapura. Never lose to the imagination of Arwin AS in creating new spaces in wild lands.
