On September 27, 2024, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau conducted a coaching session on website usage for the entire Public Relations team within FISIP, specifically for website operators from each Department and Study Program in the Akar Beluru Room, Dean's Office, 2nd Floor. This coaching session was held to facilitate the transition from the WordPress platform to CMS Laravel.
This platform migration is part of FISIP Universitas Riau's effort to continuously improve the quality of services provided to website visitors. CMS Laravel was chosen for its advantages, such as better security and a more efficient content management system.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the training is a crucial investment to enhance the skills and capabilities of website operators so they can optimize the use of CMS Laravel. This coaching session is expected to provide valuable learning experiences for all website operators from the Departments and Study Programs within FISIP in managing the website.
The Head of Public Relations of FISIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Fajriani Ananda, S.Sos., M.Si., in a separate occasion, explained that CMS Laravel offers various features that are useful for managing website content. Additionally, Laravel has an easy-to-use development environment and is supported by a large developer community, making it easier for users to regularly improve and optimize the website without facing technical challenges. "By mastering this technology, FISIP Universitas Riau will be able to provide a better user experience for website visitors," said Dr. Fajriani.
In this coaching session, Hanggy Ardo, S.Kom, a Public Relations staff member at FISIP Universitas Riau, who is also the website operator and social media account manager for FISIP, served as the speaker and provided technical guidance to all website operators from the Departments and Study Programs. The goal was to help them understand the process of transitioning from the WordPress platform to CMS Laravel and start adapting to this new development environment.
The coaching activity organized by FISIP Universitas Riau is part of realizing the Integrity Zone towards a Corruption-Free Area, as a tangible effort to continuously enhance the quality standards and services provided by the university to the academic community. -Enggy-RR-
