Benchmarking of FISIP Universitas Riau to Universitas Negeri Padang in Developing Faculty Quality Assurance Systems

On November 7, 2023, the Faculty Quality Assurance Team (SPMF) from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Riau (UNRI) visited the Internal Quality Assurance Agency (BPMI) of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) in the SPI Meeting Room, Rectorate Building, 3rd Floor, Air Tawar Campus, UNP. The purpose of this visit was to benchmark between UNRI and UNP in developing faculty quality assurance systems. The SPMF team from FISIP UNRI, led by Dr. Hasanuddin, M.Si, and its members, Evawani Elysa Lubis, M.Si, Mashur Fadli, SE, M.Si, and Khairul Amri, S.Sos, M.Si, were welcomed by the University Secretary Dr. Erianjoni, S.Sos, M.Si and the Head of BPMI UNP, Dr. rer. nat. Deski Beri, S.Si, M.Si.

Dr. Hasanuddin, M.Si, as the Head of SPMF FISIP UNRI, stated that they conducted the benchmarking to learn more about quality assurance management at UNP. They hope that this visit will provide valuable insights into internal quality assurance for UNRI. Dr. Hasanuddin, M.Si, also added, "We are interested in understanding the organizational structure of BPMI UNP from the faculty level to the study program level, as well as BPMI's involvement in the quality assurance cycle, which is our main focus. We hope to learn a lot from UNP regarding this process."

On the other hand, the Head of BPMI UNP, Dr. rer. nat. Deski Beri, S.Si, M.Si, explained the structure and main tasks of BPMI at UNP. In addition, during a session led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Remon Lapisa, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., discussions were held on the monitoring and evaluation (Monev) activities carried out by BPMI UNP by the Head of the Quality Assurance Division, Dr. Ofianto, M.Pd, as well as the accreditation process by the Head of the Accreditation Division, Dr. Ulfia Rahmi, M.Pd.

Moreover, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FIS) UNP, Afriva Khaidir, S.H., M.Hum, MAPA, Ph.D., also shared information regarding quality assurance and the accreditation process for study programs carried out at FIS UNP. During the benchmarking event, the SPMF team from FISIP UNRI was also given the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about BPMI UNP.
