Pekanbaru, December 19, 2024 – The Dean, leadership, and academic community of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau express their highest appreciation for Universitas Riau's success in earning the title of Informative Public Institution in the State University category. The achievement was marked by a final score of 97.39 at the 2024 Public Information Openness Award Night, organized by the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia. This award reflects Universitas Riau's dedication to implementing the principles of public information transparency as mandated by Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information Openness (KIP).

Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., the Dean of FISIP Universitas Riau, stated, “This achievement is a tangible manifestation of Universitas Riau's commitment to implementing transparent, accountable, and inclusive information governance. As part of Universitas Riau, we at FISIP are immensely proud of this accomplishment. Through the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) of FISIP, we ensure that the principle of information transparency is not merely an obligation but also serves as the foundation for building public trust.”

Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs of FISIP, emphasized the importance of synergy among all PPID units at Universitas Riau in supporting information transparency. “This success proves that public information transparency can have a positive impact, not only for the institution but also for all stakeholders. FISIP’s PPID is ready to support Universitas Riau through innovation and inclusive information services.”

Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance of FISIP, expressed her appreciation for PPID's role in maintaining high standards of public information services. “Through information transparency, Universitas Riau has made a significant contribution to strengthening better institutional governance. This serves as an inspiration for FISIP’s PPID to continue enhancing public information transparency.”

Dr. Fajriani Ananda, S.Sos., M.Si., the Head of FISIP’s PPID, added that FISIP’s PPID is strongly committed to supporting public information transparency. “FISIP Universitas Riau has provided various services to promote information transparency, such as the Public Information Transparency Service Charter, Public Information Service Desk, and Public Information Consultation Room. These steps demonstrate the faculty leadership's seriousness in providing optimal service to information users.”

The academic community of FISIP Universitas Riau hopes that this achievement will serve as motivation to continue improving information transparency services at Universitas Riau. May this success further strengthen public trust in Universitas Riau as a transparent and accountable educational institution.
