Welcome to the official website of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau (FISIP UNRI). We present this website as a medium for institutional information dissemination and a public communication channel that is credible, accountable, and service-oriented. Through this platform, we strive to provide comprehensive information regarding the implementation of education, academic activities, research, community service, student affairs, cooperation, and various strategic achievements of FISIP UNRI.
FISIP UNRI continues to strengthen its commitment to implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education by emphasizing quality, relevance, and impact. In the aspect of education, we develop a learning process based on graduate learning outcomes that are aligned with the development of social and political sciences, public policy dynamics, and rapid social changes. We encourage our curriculum and academic activities to be adaptive to digital transformation, good governance, democratization, sustainable development issues, and the strengthening of civic capacity. Thus, graduates of FISIP UNRI are expected to possess strong academic competence, analytical skills, social sensitivity, as well as integrity and professional ethics.
In the field of research, FISIP UNRI encourages the strengthening of the research ecosystem through increased scientific productivity, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the utilization of research results for policy development and evidence-based solutions for society. We view research not merely as a fulfillment of performance indicators, but as an instrument for scientific development that contributes significantly to the strengthening of governance, community empowerment, and the enhancement of regional and national competitiveness. In line with this, community service is directed towards programs based on needs, sustainability, and empowerment orientation, so that the benefits are measurable and have a broad impact.
As a higher education institution, FISIP UNRI places good governance and a culture of quality as the primary foundation. We implement the Internal Quality Assurance System consistently through periodic evaluation mechanisms based on quality standards, internal audits, and follow-up service improvements, accompanied by continuous monitoring of unit performance. These efforts are aimed at ensuring that academic, administrative, and student services run effectively, transparently, and are oriented towards continuous improvement.
We believe that the progress of the faculty is determined by the power of collaboration. Therefore, FISIP UNRI continues to develop strategic partnerships with the government, public institutions, civil society organizations, the business world, professional associations, universities, and alumni networks. Such collaboration serves as a lever in strengthening student competence, developing internship and practice programs, applied research, and social innovations that impact society. In the context of international development, FISIP UNRI also opens space for strengthening global networks through academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and capacity building for the academic community.
